BEST QUALITY CANVAS: Our unique polyester tent material is an 11 oz canvas with a breaking strength of 449 lbs (warp direction) and 382 lbs (fill direction), making it significantly tougher than traditional canvas. The tear strength is 67 lbs (warp) and 40 lbs (fill); this is roughly double that of the Sunforger canvas material used by other tent companies.
HIGHLY DURABLE AND WATERPROOF: Higher break and tear strength than the other materials available. More resistant to ultraviolet rays, will outlast cotton canvas and does not shrink like cotton. Our tent does not absorb water like cotton since it is made from a waterproof fabric and is seams sealed. It also doesn't require a rainfly.
Poles: Galvanized steel central pole breaks down into three segments to make it easier to manage. Center pole has a rubber gasket at the bottom and top to protect the floor and canvas. Includes an A-Frame pole system for doorway. The longest pole measures 40 inches.
SLEEPING CAPACITY: If you are on a boy scout or family trip and everyone can cozy up tight, you will find you can fit a few more people into your bell tent. However, if you’re an outfitter guiding in hunters and each one of them has their own cot and needs some elbow room : 6 people can sleep inside the tent (with wood stove) and 9 people can sleep inside the tent (with no wood stove).
SETUP: Bell tents provide amble space (20ft = 304 sq ft) comparable to a wall tent but are much easier to set up and move around. Plus, if you’re a fan of yurts, you can essentially get the same functions (albeit with lower side walls) but without needing to worry about wood lattice-work
